Audit ApproachThe monitoring of Quality Systems is a key function of our company and the provision of auditing services is the basis of this service. We have developed procedures for the conduct of external audits and the preparation of Audit Reports. Our auditing procedures require our staff to:
· plan the audit
· develop comprehensive checklists based on the auditee's management system documents and appropriate quality standard
· conduct the audit in a manner that complies with AS 3911 Guidelines for Auditing Quality Systems, Parts 1, 2 and 3
· prepare comprehensive reports that detail audit findings and provide an objective assessment of the suitability of the quality system.
Our staff are required to have suitable qualifications and a demonstrated level of experience in the audit process. All staff responsible for the conduct of audits have appropriate qualifications and are recognised by the Quality Society of Australasia.
Audit checklists are prepared prior to the audit, based on the company's Corporate documentation or Project Plan. The process of the preparation of the Checklist may also involve a "desk-top" audit of the documentation to determine the level of compliance with the project specification.
Audits are conducted "on-site" and principally address those matters which could not be addressed during the desk-top audit. Where applicable, the audit would also assess the level of implementation of those documented procedures nominated in the Project Quality Plan. This would occur, in the main, by the examination of project related records.
The SAFE documented procedures require that, should a non‑conformance be detected during the audit, a Corrective Action Request (CAR) will be issued to the auditee. The CAR provides details of the non-conformance detected and is signed by the auditee to confirm their agreement with the non‑conformance.
The Audit Report would be prepared in the period immediately following the on-site audit, and the required number of copies of the Report would be made available for distribution.
Since the inception of the company, we have been engaged for the conduct of over 200 second party audits of Project Quality Systems. Our clients include:
